APPRENTICE COSTS
JITO COSTS (including GST)
Apprentice one-off Administration Fee $168.75
Credit Fees $2 per credit

Credit fees vary, depending on your qualification. The National Certificate in Joinery Introduction is undertaken in conjunction with the following qualifications and its 54 credits are included in the credit totals.
Credit fees for the entire qualification requirements are due once you have signed your Training Agreement.

National Certificate in Joinery Craftsperson 262 credits
National Certificate in Joinery (Cabinetry) 142 credits
National Certificate in Joinery (Exterior Joinery) 177 credits
National Certificate in Joinery (Stairs) 133 credits
National Certificate in Joinery (Laminate Fabrication) 103 credits
National Certificate in Joinery (Component Machining) 145 credits
National Certificate in Architectural Aluminium Joinery Level 3 101 credits

Training Manuals
Your training manual will be sent to you at the beginning of your training. There is no charge for the manual.

Re-establishment Fee
When an apprentice changes employer during the course of their apprenticeship, they will be charged a re-establishment fee.  This fee is to cover the administration costs and time involved for JITO.

The fee is currently $300 plus GST (subject to change).  		POLYTECHNIC COSTS (including GST)
Each block course $450.00
The JITO Board recommends that $240 is paid by the apprentice and $210 by the employer.

SUBSIDIES
JITO will subsidise your accommodation and travel to and from Polytechnic if you must live away from home while attending your block courses.
Board
$50 per week is available for accommodation expenses.
Travel
The equivalent of a return bus fare is available on presentation of travel receipts.
First Aid Training
All apprentices must gain three first aid unit standards in their own time. You may use any provider. New Zealand Red Cross will give a 15% discount to all JITO apprentices.
If you complete the first aid training within the first year of your apprenticeship, JITO will reimburse $45 towards your costs.
