COURSES

Approximately 85% of training takes place in the workplace, while 15% of training is undertaken at Polytechnic. During the term of the Training Agreement, your apprentice will attend off-job training at Polytechnic, where nearly all of the assessment is carried out.
Your apprentice will be scheduled to attend one course per annum.
Each course is for three weeks. The number of courses required depends on the qualification undertaken by your apprentice.

IMPORTANT

Polytech Block Course Fees

Apprentice invoices are sent from the polytech. The full cost of each course is approximately $1450. The government through the Joinery ITO provides a subsidy reducing this cost to $450. If JITO is notified of withdrawal from the course within 6 weeks of the start date, full costs will be charged.
