QUALIFIED GLAZIER OR GLASS PROCESSOR CARD

JITO is very pleased to introduce the Qualified Glazier or Glass Processor card. From now on all apprentices who have completed the JITO training will receive a card along with their National Certificate and Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate. The plastic wallet card will show the name and the qualification of the owner, and the date of registration.

One of the aims of the card is to raise the profile of our tradespeople and to raise the awareness of customers that they are dealing with tradespeople who have served an apprenticeship, completed the training and have gained the qualification named on the card. We are sure that the card will interest trade suppliers, who could show their support by offering trade discounts to card holders.

We will issue cards free of charge to all apprentices who have completed their training since the 1st of January 2001. However, there will be a charge to replace lost cards. People who completed a National Certificate in Glazing or Glass Processing before this time, and would like a card, are asked to lodge an application form.

The card is not only for holders of the National Certificates in Flat Glass, but also for holders of the New Zealand Trade Certificate or Advanced Trade Certificate in Flat Glass. We encourage anyone with TC or Adv TC to contact us for an application form, and apply for the card. The cost of $25 covers the material costs, plus registration on our database.
