Qualifications - Introduction
NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN JOINERY - INTRODUCTION
This qualification is a pre-requisite to the National Certificate in Joinery Craftsperson, Cabinetry, Exterior Joinery, Stairs, and Component Machining.
This is a broad based, introductory qualification which recognizes the skills and knowledge required for entry into the joinery industry. Holders of the certificate are able to work safely and capably on a range of joinery tasks with some independence under the direction of a joiner.
The following unit standards form the qualification, and will be assessed at Polytechnic block courses or at a pre-trade joinery course.

The NZQA website has details of each unit standard.
