About JITO
About JITO

JITO is the Industry Training Organisation for the joinery, glass and glazing, architectural aluminum joinery and kitchen design industries.

Our role is defined by the Industry Training Act 1992 and our four core responsibilities are to:
  • set skill standards in collaboration with our industries
  • develop arrangements for the provision of training
  • provide leadership to industry and work with them to identify current and future skill needs, develop strategic training plans to assist meet those needs and promote training that will meet those needs
  • develop and review arrangements for governance of JITO
We aspire to:
  • Provide for our stakeholders, training that is relevant and meets current skill needs to support efficiencies and business productivity.
  • Make it easy for stakeholders to participate in subsidised training
  • Provide an analysis from research and customer surveys, detailed information that will be useful for business owners to develop business plans and strategies.
  • Make known to stakeholders the benefits of training
  • Ensure the ITO is professional, approachable, effective and efficient
To make this aspiration a reality and to support our strategic framework we will:
  • Connect to, listen and act on information as provided by stakeholders and related associations in a collaborative and agile way
  • Commit to communicating with stakeholders and make training information and the associated processes easily available
  • Ensure stakeholders receive regular support on any training matters for the betterment of businesses
  • Dedicate ourselves to leading the way in providing enhanced learning experiences for all students.
  • Dedicate ourselves to using the skills and experience of our people, to ensure up to date research, data and current trends are available for stakeholders
